New podcast, Memories from the Dancefloor, celebrates LGBTQ+ club spaces in the UK: Listen

A new podcast, Memories from the Dancefloor, celebrates LGBTQ+ club spaces in the UK.

Presented by host Damian Kerlin, the docu-series is set to unravel "the forgotten history behind queer nightlife across the UK" as it "takes a dive into 20th-century queer culture and the opening of iconic super clubs".

Each episode will lend its focus to a specific venue, painting the picture through personal anecdotes and interviews with founders, artists, promoters and patrons. The first episode, which is available to listen to here, looks at London queer clubbing institution Heaven and features an interview with its founder Jeremy Norman.

Ian Levine, Hi-NRG music producer and DJ, Amy Lame, London Night Czar and BBC 6 broadcaster and Jeremy Atherton Lin, author of 'Gay Bar: Why We Went Out' are also among the future interviewees on Memories from the Dancefloor.

Memories from the Dancefloor is part of Acast Amplifier’s incubator programme. Listen here.
