Ridgewood, Queens club Nowadays has announced that its monthly 24-hour party, Nonstop, will be a regular weekend fixture throughout 2024.
Starting 6th January 2024, the party will now run weekly – starting on Saturday night and running through the entirety of Sunday.
Kevin Saunderson, Ryan Elliott, quest?onmarq, ISAbella, and more are scheduled to perform at the first Nonstop's of 2024 on 6th January.
The club has also shared the full Nonstop programme for the entire month of January – featuring Nick León, Analog Soul, Paurro, OK Williams, DJ Sadboy, Maara, Honey B, Physical Therapy, Nutrition Facts, Furtive, Rrose, Ciel, and more. Find the full list of artists set to play below.
The event description reads: “Nonstop pulls from a variety of genres and musical scenes, and that potential for crossover of different worlds is what excites us most.”
According to Resident Advisor, Gareth Solan, one of club's bookers and residents, revealed in a newsletter that Nowadays' lease is set to expire in 11 months, and that "success with it is not guaranteed". "So that prospect, combined with the growing appetite for extended [or] alternate hours, makes doubling down on weekly Nonstops feel like the right thing to do," he continued.
In addition to the extended club hours, Nowadays recently introduced The Zumbador, a Mexican-inspired restaurant. Run by Nowadays staff members Maria Bravo and Fernando Adan, they’ll serve breakfast during Nonstop events, along with a selection of coffee, smoothies, gum, and protein bars.
DJ Voices, another booker and resident at Nowadays, recently spoke to Eoin Murray and recorded a mix for DJ Mag's Recognise series. Check that out here.
