Ortofon resurrect the Concorde range on their 100th birthday: Watch

Mark II of the popular needle range features new improvements…

Ortofon have release mark II of their popular Concorde range of needles. Originally released in the 1980s, Ortofon are resurrecting the range to celebrate the company’s 100th birthday. There are five cartridges in the series: Mix, DJ, Club, Scratch and Digital.

All models benefit from a replaceable reinforced finger lift, which is easily replaced if broken. The cartridge bodies have been broadened, to offer greater stability during performances.  Replacement styli offer a tactile feedback when seating, indicating a snug and secure fit, while a cut-out area in the front allows for far more accurate needle drops.

The new needles are available now and start at €89. While you're at it, why not stock up on Jeff Mills' vinyl stabiliser and treat yourself to a brand new turntable from Numark
