The soundtrack to Champion, a new BBC One drama that's described as "a love letter to Black British music", is out now.

The show, which debuted on 1st July, was created by Candice Carty-Williams, and follows South London rap artist Bosco Champion as he re-enters the industry having been released from prison, and his sister Vita, who is set to breakout as a star. The show stars Déja J Bowens, Malcom Kamulete, Corz (Corey Weekes) and Ray BLK in her acting debut. She also worked as executive-producer for the show's music.

Musical performances come from the stars themselves, with lyrics provided by the likes of Ghetts (who writes the lyrics for Bosco Champion, performed by Kamulete) and Stormzy collaborator Debbie (who writes for Vita, played by Bowens). Lyrics for the characters Honey and Bulla, played by Ray BLK and Corz respectively, are written and performed by the stars themselves. Birmingham MC M1llionz provides lyrics for the track 'Rusty Dots', performed by Keiran Hamilton-Amos, while BRIT & MOBO winner Shola Ama performs on the track, 'Stolen'.

Production on tracks that feature on the series comes from a range of artists, namely CeeBeaats, PRGRSHN, Ten Billion Dreams, KZ, A Class, Wize and Toddla T.

The 26-track OST for the series has now been released by Def Jam 0207, and you can listen to it below.

Champion is a Balloon Entertainment and All3Media's New Pictures production, and available to watch via BBC One and Netflix.
