Secretsundaze launch crowdfund campaign for community studio

The month-long campaign aims to raise £50,000

Secretsundaze, the London-based record label, promoter, and studio space, have launchd a crowdfund campaign to build a new community studio and secure the future of Secretsundaze.

Holding events in East London for almost 20 years, and more recently around the globe, Secretsundaze is also a studio space and record label with over 50 releases from the likes of Carista, Shanti Celeste, Fred P, and Secretsundaze founders, Giles Smith and James Priestly.

Now, the brand have launched a crowdfund campaign to keep afloat when the UK government's furlough scheme ends in October, and also to build a new community studio, where they hope to create a learning centre that will formally train and mentor young people to produce and mix electronic music.

There are various rewards for different level donations, including an exclusive Shanti Celeste print, a limited-edition Caterina Bianchini t-shirt, guestlist for life passes, and the opportunity to have Secretsundaze perform at " your house party, wedding, bar mizvah, birthday party or Mum's retirement bash".

"We can't overstate how important and how thankful we are for your support at this stage," a statement alongside the fund reads. "We're acutely aware of how many people across the world are facing difficulties in their lives, either COVID related or not, and it's very hard to ask you for help in this way.

"We've never made much money from what we do but dance music culture is something we are truly passionate about and we're determined to see this out. Whatever support you have shown or can show is immensely appreciated and will never be forgotten and with it, we hope to keep the Secretsundaze flag alive for many years to come."

Secretsundaze will also host a fundraising live stream from Oval Space this Friday 14th from 2PM, which you can watch via Facebook.

The crowdfunder has raised over £27,000 so far, and you can donate to save Secretsundaze here.
