Slikback shares new single, ‘SKIN TIGHT’ with Van Boom, from new album
The Kenyan experimentalist teams up with one of the most exciting artists from the Gulf region right now
Slikback has shared a new single, 'SKIN TIGHT', a joint effort with Van Boom taken from the former's untitled album, which is expected to arrive before October.
The track is a dark, abrasive dive into sounds somewhere between techno, weightless, industrial, and dubstep.
The single is taken from a forthcoming full-length that sees Slikback, AKA Kenyan experimentalist Fredrick Njau, team up with artists across the globe. In this case, Kuwait-based Van Boom, whose work has created waves through the Gulf region and beyond.
Last year Slikback contributed two tracks to a split 12" on PAN with Soda Plains, while early 2021 saw him appear on the Unsound Intermission compilation, which also featured SOPHIE & Jlin, Varg2™ & VTSS, 33EMYBW. His first vinyl release landed in 2018 on the Ugandan label, Hakuna Kulala.
