Sommerøya locks DJ Hell, Rødhåd, KiNK, Anja Schneider and more for 2017 festival
Norwegian techno festival starts 18th August
Sommerøya, Norway’s premiere techno and arts festival, has announced its line-up for 2017. DJ Hell, Anja Schneider, Rødhåd, and KiNK top the bill.
Local acts like Finnebassen, Of Norway, Della and Fredrik Bekkaasen are also set to perform at the eclectic Salt Arena in Oslo. Situated across from the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, the arena features indoor and outdoor stages plus “several giant Arctic pyramids each rising 12 meters into the sky”.
In addition to the official musical selections, the festival also touts live jams sessions, art exhibitions, lectures, and the showing of an award-winning documentary about Norwegian electronic music entitled ‘Nothern Disco Lights’.
