Tiffany Calver kicks off new BBC Radio 1 Xtra residency, shares call out for music submissions
Major League DJz, SHERELLE and Nia Archives were all featured on the first edition of The Tiffany Calver Show
Tiffany Calver kicked off her new BBC Radio 1 Xtra residency on Friday night (9th June).
South African amapiano stars Major League DJz, joined the previous DJ Mag cover star in the studio with a live guest mix, with additional guest contributions coming from SHERELLE and Nia Archives.
The Tiffany Calver Show will take its lead from the host's highly varied and energy-packed sets, which have made an impact everywhere from basement clubs to Drake's UK and European tour dates, and Paris Fashion Week. Covering baile funk, UK funky, amapiano, hip-hop, Afrobeats, R&B, garage and more, the announcement is just one in a number of scheduling changes at the station.
Calver described the show, which will air every Friday from 9PM - 11pm, as "a chance to bring all elements of me - from NTS and Radar days to who I am now - all into one place".
She has also shared a call out for music submissions, encouraging people to send music and edits for a chance to be played on the show. Check out the first show over at BBC Radio 1Xtra here.
