Tomorrowland has released a new documentary, We Are Tomorrow, in collaboration with Amazon Music.

Directed by Wim Bonte, the 30-minute short film offers fans an intimate look into the music and global community that defines Tomorrowland – the reigning No. 1 festival in the world according to DJ Mag's Top 100 Festivals poll 2023, as voted by readers.

The documentary also portrays the personal stories of four ‘People of Tomorrow’ attending the Belgian festival in 2023; Brazilian DJ and producer Alok, two Ukrainian refugees Veronika and Mykola who volunteered at the festival, Peruvian punter Carlos who found love in Belgium, and the Indian-Australian Alwyn who brought his sister to Tomorrowland for the first time.

Throughout the doc, each individual shares personal stories on what Tomorrowland means to them, alongside exclusive unseen footage of the festival.

“Playing at Tomorrowland is a validation that I made the right choice [in becoming a DJ],” Alok shared in the documentary. “Being part of the artists who perform at Tomorrowland means leaving behind any doubts about whether or not I should have become a DJ. Tomorrowland's history intertwines with mine.”

Mumbai-born festivalgoer Alwyn added: “I’ve been coming here since 2014 and I haven’t missed a weekend since. I feel like this is my family and my home, it makes me who I am.”

“Music for me, it’s energy. It’s freedom," said Veronika. "It’s something that gives you strength to move on. Tomorrowland is like a fairytale. It’s like another world where I can forget about all problems and recharge my energy and strength to move on.”

The short film is now available to watch now on YouTube and Amazon Music.

Earlier this week, Tomorrowland announced the theme of its Winter edition as Amicorum Spectaculum – “one of the most mythical themes in the history of the festival.” The fourth edition of Tomorrowland Winter will take place from 16th to 23rd March 2024, at the French ski resort of Alpe d’Huez, with initial tickets going on sale tomorrow (22nd September 2023) at tomorrowland.com.

Fans can also watch back sets from Tomorrowland’s 2023 Belgian festival in full, including performances from Adam Beyer, Amelie LensVintage Culture, Dom Dolla, Hardwell, LF System, and more.
