The show includes a remix of the team anthem, 'Hé, Hé, Hé, Hé, Hup NAC'

Hardwell Breda

Dutch dance music star Hardwell played a key role in celebrations to mark NAC Breda's return to top flight football in the Netherlands.

The DJ, producer and Revealed Records founder was born in the city and has been a lifelong supporter of its team. Following a successful campaign this season, the squad secured promotion into the Eredivisie — the highest level of Dutch professional football — after a five year hiatus.

An event took place in the centre of Breda on Sunday 2nd June, and involved a number of musicians and cultural figures from the region. Hardwell was drafted for an exclusive 30-minute set dedicated to his hometown, its team and fans.

Playing a set that leaned heavily on hardstyle and adjacent sounds, which Hardwell has frequently dabbled in, tracks from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike & Tiësto & W&W ft. Dido, Wiz Khalifa and Kim Wilde feature in various remixed forms. The set opened with Hardwell's own interpretation of the NAC Breda official club anthem, 'Hé, Hé, Hé, Hé, Hup NAC' by Albert Brosens & Orkest Gaby Dirne.

You can watch the full broadcast below, or skip straight to Hardwell's section at around 2:30:00.

In March, Hardwell released a free sample pack for producers. Relive his set from Ultra Miami 2024 here and listen his recent single, ‘Oldskool Sound’, here.
