Watch LCD Soundsystem perform 'Call The Police' & 'American Dream' on SNL

Band's reunion album is almost done...

LCD Soundsystem were the musical guests on this past weekend's Saturday Night Live where James Murphy and co performed new tracks, 'Call The Police' and 'American Dream'.

Both tracks were officially unveiled last week via BBC Radio and Beats 1, and are taken from the band's as-yet unnamed new album.

There's still no firm release date for the band's reunion album, though Murphy has explained when fans should expect the new record.

Apparently, there's still a couple of vocals to get nailed down and then the final album will be delivered to legendary mastering engineer Bob Weston to be mastered, which hopefully will be before he goes on tour with Shellac.

“So it will go like this: finish last mix > get to Bob to master > get masters to pressing plant > plant takes X amount of time > records get to distro so that they can go to stores > record released. However long that takes = when the record will be out,” explained Murphy via note posted to the band's Facebook page.

So there you have it — LCD Soundsytem's new album will be finished soon.
