Black Junglist Alliance take over DJ Mag HQ for an Easter special this week!
This Thursday (14th April) we welcome the Black Junglist Alliance crew to DJ Mag HQ for a 90-minute livestream.
Black Junglist Alliance was launched by DJ and producer Chris Inperspective in 2020 with the aim of uniting Black artists, professionals and creatives in the world of jungle and drum & bass. He told us more about the community platform, and about the importance of Black ownership in electronic music in our Dance Music Is Black Music issue.
The warm-up set at DJ Mag’s BJA takeover will come from rising junglist Squiff, whose recent set from Planet Wax you can stream here. After that, Loxy & Ink will take the reins. For over 20 years, the duo have been pushing the boundaries of the breakbeat, releasing EPs on labels such as Metalheadz, Architecture Recordings, Renegade Hardware and Cylon Recordings. Last year, they returned with the ‘Manifested Visions’ EP, combining everything from hip-hop and dub to explosive jungle and drum & bass.
