Last month (27th May), Swedish House Mafia celebrated the release of their new single, ‘See The Light feat. Fridayy’, with a performance at E1 London. Watch a fan-filmed video of the set below.

Opening with the recent Angello and Ingrosso collaboration, ‘U OK?’, the Scandi supergroup delivered a mix of their own singles throughout the years, as well as tracks from the likes of The Chemical Brothers and Skrillex.

At the centre of the set was the group’s newest single, released last month via Republic Records: “The reason that we’re here tonight is to celebrate a song, and it’s called ‘See The Light,” said Ingrosso.

The DJ supergroup – comprised of Steve Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso – also played the new track in their closing set at Miami’s ULTRA Music Festival earlier this spring, which you can watch in full here. The track will also feature on the soundtrack EA Sports’ new Formula 1 game alongside Hot Chip, Romy & Fred again.., LP Giobbi, Solardo, and Flume.

Last year, Swedish House Mafia returned from an almost ten-year hiatus with their official debut album, ‘Paradise Again’, and embarked on their first world tour since 2013. ‘See The Light’ marked the trio’s first release since announcing the end of that album era last month. “Thank you for being part of this journey...”, the trio shared in a statement on their website, “we can now see the light upon us.”

E1 London — named for its East London postcode — broke into the top 50 of DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs for the second year running last month, coming in at No. 48. Revisit the full list here.
