A new website will create custom playlists based on the weather in your location.

The appropriately-titled Forecast app identifies where users are and then selects appropriate tracks to accompany the current climate.

Developed by Lee Martin and San Francisco-based ambient producer Tycho, whose new album 'Weather' just dropped, it's one of a number of apps that have caught our eye recently.

Take Me Here Festival analyses listening habits on Spotify or Deezer to suggest a dream festival line-up. Closer, masterminded by Richie Hawtin, puts audiences in the booth at his CLOSE live shows. PSLY allows crowds to vote on what the DJ should play next. And Tinder adapted its standard dating swipe-a-thon to help people find love in fields via Festival Mode this summer.
