DIRTY SOUTH MOVIE IS A BOX OFFICE BOOM

Two-time Grammy nominated artist, Dirty South made his debut as a film director/writer/producer yesterday with the release of ‘WITH YOU,’ a 38-minute short film that he created to accompany his new album of the same title (set for release on November 4). The short film was released exclusively through iTunes and quickly reached #1 in over 13 countries within the first 24 hours, including the US, UK and Asia.  

‘WITH YOU’ is the next step in Dirty South’s artistic evolution; traversing the electronic, indie, and alternative soundscape he creates a unique sound and an eclectic mixture of tracks that he has cleverly adapted into a narrative for a a short film. 

What began as the renowned DJs sophomore album turned into something even bigger when Dirty South saw a way to tell a story about the music through the film. DJ Mag hears the artist has ambitions for more films in the future and this is just the start of his expansion into the film world.
