Human Traffic has been restored in 4K

Set over the course of a drug-fuelled weekend in Cardiff, Justin Kerrigan's 1999 cult coming-of-age classic will be fully restored in 4K and available to purchase digitally on Apple TV from August 1st. Starring John Simm, Danny Dyer, Lorraine Pilkington, Shaun Parkes, Nicola Reynolds and more, the film's iconic soundtrack features the likes of Armand Van Helden, Carl Cox, Orbital, Underworld, Fatboy Slim and more.

It comes amid Kerrigan's continued attempts to get production of the long-awaited sequel to the original film off the ground. Having initially teased in 2016, when film production company Parallax East revealed that the story would be set in Cardiff and Ibiza, Kerrigan confirmed last year that the second instalment was ready to start filming

Five months later, the production team behind the sequel took to Facebook to ask for private investors to fund the sequel. "We are offering 30% returns on all private investments by way of contract," they said at the time. "We have an offer of UK/EIRE theatrical distribution, a letter of commitment from Danny Dyer's agent and an original script written by Justin Kerrigan."

In May this year, Kerrigan spoke about the process and inspirations behind Human Traffic. Revisit the trailer for the original film below.
