AlphaTheta Corporation, the umbrella group for brands like Pioneer DJ, KUVO, rekordbox, TORAIZ and Serato, has added a new company to its roster called AlphaTheta. Pioneer DJ, the brand synonymous with everything from CDJs to controllers and more, will remain a part of the AlphaTheta group.

The new brand, which mirrors the name of its conglomerate, will announce new products this week to coincide with the NAMM Convention in California.

The new brand is revealed on the 30th anniversary of the first DJ player — the CDJ-500 — launched in 1994. Speaking about the new name in a statement issued with the news, the company said: “The name AlphaTheta directly refers to the brain wave frequencies achieved in optimal performance. Music often guides us into these extremely powerful states of mind. Our aim is to use our innovative technologies in sound and music creation to enable and enrich these peak moments.”
