Korg just can’t do anything wrong in our eyes, and the announcement of three new products makes us very happy indeed.
The new Arp Odyssey Module is a tabletop duophonic analog synth module based on KORG’s revived ARP ODYSSEY. It is a compact keyboard-less version of the popular re-release and offers all the same amazing sound as found in the previous version. Coming in two colour ways the Arp Odyssey module not only sounds good but looks great too.
In addition to the Arp Odyssey, Korg continue to grow the volca range with the new volca Kick analog kick generator.
The volca kick is based around the circuitry of the original MS–20 filter, it lets users create a wide range of kick sounds only possible through analog circuitry, ranging from solid kick drums to crisp kick basses. The 16-step sequencer, a distinctive feature of the volca, now has a new Touch FX feature that lets you control an effect instantly, giving you even more live performance potential.
And last but not least is the microKorg S synthesiser/vocoder.
An update to their original 2002 microKorg, the S version now comes with inbuilt speakers for a truly play anywhere expereice. The microKorg S is fully loaded with new preset sounds that bring it right up to date with todays electronic music genres, looks good and sounds great, Korg no doubt are on to a winner here and with the rest of the newly launched products.
