The new system celebrates the 50th anniversary of their Beosystem-72-22

Bang & Olufsen

High-end audio experts Bang & Olufsen has released a new turntable and speaker setup that costs $45,000. The Beosystem 72-22 is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the B&O turntable of the same name, released in 1972. The new release includes a Beosystem 4000 turntable, a Beoremote Halo remote control, and Beolab 18 stereo speakers. The whole system costs $45k and is limited to a run of 30 sets across North America.

The new release is part of Recreated Classics, B&O’s initiative to restore its classic products. The first saw B&O source all of the original 4000 Series turntables and restore them at their HQ in Denmark. The resulting refurbed release sold out in days. This new system gives you a chance to get your hands on a 4000, if you have the budget.
