ROLI INTRODUCES NEW MODULAR PERFORMANCE SYSTEM, ROLI BLOCKS

ROLI are back with yet more innovative products for creating music. Not one to rest on their laurels, the brains behind ROLI have launched the latest in music tech innovation, BLOCKS.

ROLI BLOCKS is a modular music studio that opens up the world of music production to everyone. ROLI's blocks connect together to create customisable kits to suit any budget, skill level, and musical style. 

There are three blocks that have been initially launched, and with a click of magnetic connectors, music-makers can combined the blocks to build their own custom instruments as they go.

The Lightpad Block features a tactile, glowing surface that lets people shape music through presses, glides, and other natural gestures, whilst the Live Block and Loop Block have controls that make it even easier to perform and produce in real time.

BLOCKS is powered by NOISE, a free music app for iPhone and iPad that is now available at the App Store. NOISE connects to BLOCKS wirelessly over Bluetooth, becoming the system’s sound engine as well as a standalone app.

BLOCKS is already getting some pretty major support from artists such as Grimes, Steve Aoki, and RZA who will also be creating signature soundpacks for BLOCKS musicians.
