Dax J, Nina Kraviz, Randomer, more locked for festival in 19th century Polish fortress

Marcel Dettmann, Orphx and Sigha will also play at Instytut, taking place 22nd to 24th June 2018...

Longstanding Polish club promoters Instytut will host their debut festival this year on the grounds of a 19th century Polish fortress. The Warsaw-based event organisers will be bringing a techno-filled line-up to the longest building in Europe, the Garnizon Modlin fortress near the city. The festival will take place between 22nd and 24th June.

The first phase of the line-up to be announced includes names such as London-born, Berlin-based fierce techno DJ Dax J, Nina Kraviz, Randomer, Canadian hypnotic-noise duo Orphx (Live) and Marcel Dettmann.

Also bound for the picturesque, forestside festival grounds are Tresor’s own Oscar Mulero, Headless Horseman, Manoid Sigha, T A K A, Zariush and These Hidden Hands (live). There are many more acts still left to be announced for the three-stage festival.

Aside from music, there will also be a focus on visual art at Instytut’s first multi-day festival, with local and international audiovisual artists providing numerous installations and works to the historically rich site.

For tickets and further information visit Instytut’s website.

There are plenty of festivals happening in gorgeous, historic venues this year. The marvellous Uva festival in June takes place in a 15th century Spanish monastery. There’s a rave taking place in a huge industrial park in west Germany during the summer too. Disneyland Paris will also be hosting a massive dance music festival this June.
