Behringer's KORG MS-20 synth clone has gone on sale

2000 units have been made available

Behringer's clone of the Korg MS-20 synth is now available to buy.

The K-2 model has been made available in 2000 units and is Eurorack-compatible. The company shared the news of its availability in a Facebook post, writing, "We hear people constantly complaining that we're announcing too early and never ship anything. This time we kept quiet."

The K-2 differs from the MS-20 in its Eurorack compatibility as well as its keyless desktop interface. However, it largely follows the design of the MS-20 and carries over the original model's function of running a pair of voltage-controlled oscillators through both hi- and lo-pass filters.

A price is yet to be announced for the new product.

The K-2 is the latest in a series of affordable clones that Behringer has produced in recent years. In May, the company announced that it was making a recreation of Yamaha's CS-80 polysynth, while at the start of the year, it produced a clone of Roland's TR-808 for just $300.
