A new state-of-the-art 'sound room' venue has opened in Miami.

Jolene Sound Room Miami follows the launch of Jolene Sound Room Brooklyn earlier this year, and aims to bring a “high-energy sound” to visitors sipping on cocktails and more in the retro-styled venue.

According to press material, the Miami sound bar located in the basement of 200 E Flagler Street is inspired by “the fierceness and femininity of Dolly Parton” and showcases the best of disco, house and techno by DJs performing at the venue.

The sound room features cutting edge soundsytem developed by Phonic Technologies with an accompanying light system that's designed to celebrate local music culture and Miami-based artists.

Its design was inspired by late '60s-early '70s recording studios, which were typically irregular in shape, with wood finishes backed with acoustic insulation and carpeting on the walls.

DJ Ray – the club's resident DJ – is spearheading programming for the new sound room. Details on upcoming events can be found on the venue's Instagram page.

Jolene Sound Room Miami is the latest collaboration between hospitality pioneers Bar Lab Hospitality, Link Miami Rebels and Space Invaders, a Miami-based nightlife trio formed In 2016.

Space Invaders, comprising Miami's III Points music festival co-founder David Sinopoli and Miami nightlife veterans Davide Danese and Coloma Kaboomsky of Link Miami Rebels, own the world-renowned Club Space.
