A unique insight into the process of turning great music into an iconic clip

Daft Punk share video storyboard for ‘Around The World’: Watch

Daft Punk have shared the video storyboard for 'Around the World', the duo's classic single taken from their landmark 1997 debut album, 'Homework'.

The clip was originally included on the 'D.A.F.T.' DVD, which arrived the same year as the track itself. Directed by Michel Gondry — who has also worked with Massive Attack and Björk, as well as on surrealist narrative films such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep — the storyboard offers a unique insight into the creative process.

2022 marks the 25th anniversary of 'Homework', a record widely regarded as one of the most important electronic LPs of the 1990s. To mark the occasion, earlier this year DJ Mag published a long read featuring artists named in 'Teachers' from the album.

Although they called time on the project in 2021, earlier this month (April), Daft Punk launched a mysterious new website with the message "Archives Loading" and links to the pair's social media channels. Meanwhile, at the beginning of this year rumours circulated, but subsequently proved untrue, that the producers — Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo — would perform at the Super Bowl.
