Danny Tenaglia and Carl Cox feature on new Hot Creations EP
Inspired by the time he stepped in for Richie Hawtin at Movement
Danny Tenaglia and Carl Cox feature on the new Hot Creations EP, 'Don't Turn Your Back', which arrives 27th September.
The release marks Tenaglia's debut for the label, and his solo return to the release schedule after over a decade, with 'Space Dance' dropping in 2008, although two years ago he appeared on Layton Giordani's Drumcode track, 'Live Again'.
A legend of the global dance scene, Tenaglia has said he was inspired to make this latest effort after stepping in for Richie Hawtin at this year's Movement festival in Detroit.
"I thought I'd go in my studio and create something special for this event," said Tenaglia. "But then I got lost in this old school New York vibe, and I just kept flowing with it. I thought if I say 'Don't Turn Your Back' it would be a fun hook and not just an instrumental concept."
Two remixes from equally revered DJ supremo and leading player in Ibiza's current One Night Stand parties, Carl Cox, and a separate version from house don Harry Romero also feature on the release, with John Scarpulla on saxophone. Meanwhile, Clarisse Records boss Mendo has provided a re-rub for the digital version.
