DJ Mag relaunches DJ Mag NL as digital platform
The new website is due to launch in July 2023
DJ Mag NL is set to relaunch in July 2023. The official Dutch edition of DJ Mag will return as a digital and social platform covering the best dance music news from Netherlands and beyond.
Previously licensed to a Dutch publisher, the new DJ Mag NL is operated centrally by Thrust Publishing Ltd, the publisher of DJ Mag’s global flagship edition, DJ Mag UK in addition to DJ Mag North America, DJ Mag Ibiza, DJ Mag Croatia, and DJ Mag China.
A satellite team in the Netherlands, led by previous DJ Mag NL editor Sarah Ottow, will be supported by DJ Mag’s global team based in the UK.
Speaking about the launch DJ Mag NL, Ottow said: “Returning to DJ Mag as an editor is like coming home. I love the scene and I am honored to be part of it again.”
Initially focussing exclusively on breaking news coverage, DJ Mag NL will bring the latest dance music news back to the Dutch-speaking market for the first time since 2018.
DJ Mag’s head of digital Simon Kelly added: “Netherlands is a key market for DJ Mag, driving a large number of engaged readers to our global platforms and voters in our Top 100 polls, so it is hugely exciting to be able to finally bring a native-language edition of DJ Mag back to the country. We can’t wait to use the platform to celebrate the wealth of dance music talent in the region.”
