Kelela has enlisted an impressive list of highly respected producers and artists for a new 'RAVE:N' remix album.
The announcement of the collection's tracklist follows the release of Karen Nyame KG's remix of 'Contact' back in October. You can check the second single from the project, 'Closure (Flexulant x BAMBII Remix feat. Rahrah Gabor + Brazy)' below, as well as the accompanying video by Yasser Abubeker.
A reworking of her celebrated LP, 'Raven', which landed in February to claim DJ Mag's Album of the Month and spawned a sell-out North American tour, 'RAVE:N' has been developed with assistance from Kelela's regular studio partner Asmara.
More names such as TYGAPAW, Shygirl, Loraine James, DJ Swisha, Yaeji, Liv.e, LEECH, and Kyruh have all contributed fresh versions of familiar material. Spanning no less than 20 tracks, the collection also includes a different take on 'Sorbet' by LSDXOXO, who was credited as producer on the original album alongside Yo Van Lenz, AceMo and Florian T M Zeisig, of ambient duo OCA.
