Taylor Swift released the remix alongside a live version of the original song as part of her new concert film
LP Giobbi's official remix of Taylor Swift's 'Cruel Summer' has been released.
Released alongside a live version of the original song by Swift, the remix forms part of the pop star's promotion trail for concert film 'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour'. The original cut appeared on 2019 album 'Lover', which has experienced a renaissance in Swift's discography recently after being given a prime slot in the setlist for her recent tour.
Speaking about the tour in a social media post, Swift said to fans: "One of my favourite things you've done was when you supported 'Cruel Summer' SO much, I ended up starting The Eras Tour show with it. For old times sake, I'm releasing the live audio from the tour so we can all shriek it in the comfort of our homes and cars, PLUS a brand new remix by LP Giobbi. Thank you, so much, forever, wow, just thank you!!"
