New Beastie Boys documentary by Spike Jonze gets official trailer: Watch

It follows the documentary announcement in January

A trailer has been released for the upcoming Beastie Boys documentary.

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze, who has a long-standing partnership with the hip-hop outfit, the new documentary entitled Beastie Boys Story will be released in April.

The trailer has now been shared, which shows archive footage of the iconic trio, as well as previously unseen clips of surviving members Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz on stage.

Beastie Boys Story will follow the release of Jonze's first photography book, Beastie Boys, which will be available on the 17th March, and features hundreds of photos taken by Jonze throughout the group's career.

Watch the trailer for Beastie Boys Story below, which is slated for release on the 3rd April in a handful of IMAX cinemas, and marks the 26th anniversary of the group's 1994 album, 'Ill Communication'.
