New music podcast, Cwm Dancing, celebrates Welsh electronic music

A new music podcast "celebrates and champions" Welsh electronic music.

Cwm Dancing is hosted by writer and presenter Dave Columbo Jenkins on his 1 More Thing channel. The show will highlight music by Welsh artists and labels, as well as artists who have "chosen to make Wales their home". He said the idea to start the show was inspired by his recent DJ Mag feature, How Wales is reclaiming its place in electronic music history.

Genres will span the range of electronic and "beat-based" — "every genre that's even remotely DJ-able", Jenkins said. The first episode, out now, features interviews with Niques, LSN and Lubi J, plus a guest mix from Llew. The tracklist includes Overmono, Kelly Lee Owens, Steevio, Acid Klaus, Minas, DJ Guy, Rachel K Collier and more.

"There is a wealth of incredible, innovative and boundary-smashing music being made in Wales," Jenkins said in the show description. "There always has been. Cwm Dancing exists to celebrate this and highlight as much of it as possible."
