Oliver Heldens is back with a new track and different direction to his usual bass-fueled output.
'What The Funk' sees Heldens explore a fresh new direction that blends pop, disco and house with a ‘90s twist.
The track got its premiere in a mobile game called BeatFever, continuing Heldens’ affinity with the video game world, where he's a regular on streaming service, Twitch.
The video for the track, according to the press release, will be "a user-generated piece featuring submissions sent in from his fans on social media."
This summer has been Heldens’ biggest to date, with his own residency at the new Hï Ibiza and his Heldeep Stage at Tomorrowland, and his busy schedule will carry on into October as he prepares for his ADE party at Paradiso next month.
Last year, Heldens peaked at number 8 in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll — could 2017's results see the producer finally break into the top five? We'll find out next month.
