Music and gaming metaverse platform Pixelynx and the Spinnin’ Records label have announced the winner of their remix competition for Joel Corry and Ron Carroll’s recent single, ‘Nikes’.

Between 22nd March and 7th April, aspiring producers submitted their own remix of Corry’s fresh take on Carroll’s Spinnin’ Records classic, ‘Walking Down The Street’.

The winner of the competition, Vibratto, was voted upon by a committee of more than 3000 Spinnin’ Records and music metaverse ELYNXIR community members. Speaking about the competition, Corry said "It’s exciting to witness the talent that has come forward during this competition and it’ll be interesting to see the winner’s vision come to life. I’m thrilled to be a part of this evolution of music in which artists and fans are given new creative mediums to express their creativity."

Community members of CYPHER – a community-owned virtual music artist on the ELYNXIR platform – also had a say in selecting the winning remix. To celebrate the winning remix, a community-sourced music video is set to premiere in the coming weeks.

You can check out the winning remix here.

Pixelynx was founded by Deadmau5, Richie Hawtin, Ben Turner, Dean Wilson and Inder Phull, as a web3 platform “focused on building a music metaverse ecosystem that will transform the way artists connect and engage with their fans through gaming experiences.” Learn more about it here.
