Rihanna continued her return to the live stage last night (Sunday, 12th March), performing at this year's Oscars ceremony.
She performed her song 'Lift Me Up' live for the first time during the awards show. For the stripped-back performance which saw Rihanna stand on top of a grassy platform, the artist wore a top laced with diamonds, as well as black trousers and leather gloves. 'Lift Me Up', which appeared in the film 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', was nominated in the Best Original Song category at last night's 95th Academy Awards. The award was ultimately won by Rahul Sipligunj, Kaala Bhairava, and M.M. Keeravani for their song 'Naatu Naatu'. It was the first Indian song to win the award, and appeared in the Telugu-language film 'RRR'.
Rihanna returned to the live stage last month when she performed for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. It was announced shortly after that appearance that she would performing at this year's Oscars ceremony.
