Swedish House Mafia announce first tour date of 2019, confirm new music is coming

Finally some confirmation!

Swedish House Mafia have (finally) made an official announcement about their much-discussed reunion.

At a press conference this morning (22nd October) the trio revealed that they will reunite for a show at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday, 4th May 2019. They also confirmed that they will be playing brand new, never-before-heard music at the show.

Last week, the EDM titans – who were voted No.63 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll 2018 despite only playing one gig this year at Ultra Miami – teased that a big announcement was coming at last by way of a mysterious countdown timer on their website.

While of course it’s no surprise by now that the trio were planning on returning to the live circuit next year, this is the first officially announced show they will have played since they disbanded in 2013. During his set at Ultra Mexico a few weeks ago Steve Angello also teased that the group would be returning there some time in 2019, saying, “Mexico, I’ll see you next year with Swedish House Mafia.”

Tickets for Swedish House Mafia Stockholm show will go on sale on Saturday 27th October at 12.00 am via livenation.se.
