Swedish House Mafia release Mau P remix of ‘Ray Of Solar’: Listen
The Dutch producer cites Swedish House Mafia as the reason he got into electronic music

The second single from the trio’s forthcoming album arrived last month via Republic Records, alongside a growing collection of remixes from the likes of Alex Wann & Sasson, Anfisa Letyago, and most recently, Mau P.
Describing the link-up as a “full circle moment”, the Dutch producer stamps his own euphoric house style onto the original track while preserving its orchestral elements.
“Music is definitely in my DNA but I know for a fact that there wouldn’t be a Mau P without those early influences by the Swedish House Mafia. They’re the reason I went down this path...” Mau P said on the remix. “I feel like every month I have to come up with a quote about another dream coming true, but nothing as insane as this one, that’s for sure.”
Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello added: “We’ve been watching Mau P for some time and like what he has been up to. We are really glad to have him do a remix of our latest single, Ray Of Solar, enjoy!”
‘Ray Of Solar’ is the latest in a string of remixes from the Dutch producer, including trance-inspired edits of Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s ‘Miracle’, and Armand Van Helden’s ‘I Want Your Soul’. Mau P also dropped a new original single, ‘Metro, featuring Kevin de Vries, on Afterlife Recordings earlier this summer.
Last week, Swedish House Mafia shared a video for ‘Ray Of Solar’ directed by the band’s creative director, Alexander Wessley. “We are proud to finally share the ‘Ray of Solar’ video,” said the group, “a story about duality and how darkness bows to light.”
