Scotland’s Terminal V festival has launched a record label with a new single by Franck. Listen to ‘For Real’ below.

On Tuesday (20th June), Scotland’s largest techno-led music festival announced the addition of its new label leg, Terminal V Records, dedicated to “promoting and showcasing exceptional local and international talent.”

Inaugurating the label is rising Edinburgh-based DJ Franck, whose techno cuts have been released via Kobosil’s R Label Group and his own fledgling label, Carouse. His new single ‘For Real’, described as a “speedy techno stomper,” is out now on Terminal V Records.

In an interview for Terminal V’s podcast last year, Franck said: “I’ve been told by folk older and wiser than me that apparently back in the '90s, Edinburgh used to be revered as a techno capital much like say Berlin is nowadays. I think it’s something that has been lost over the years but I hope I’m part of a generation that will put us back on the map.” Listen to the accompanying mix here.

Terminal V festival runs annually in Edinburgh each April, alongside a further indoor-only Halloween edition. The 2023 edition, which took place across Easter weekend, hosted sets from recent DJ Mag cover stars Amelie Lens and Jayda G, alongside Charlotte de Witte, Mall Grab, I Hate Models, Folamour, Ewan McVicar, and more. Watch Alan Fitzpatrick b2b Rebūke live from Terminal V 2022.

The brand is also hoping to expand beyond Scotland with satellite events and stages hosted in the likes of Berlin, Florence, and more international locations.
