The designer of the LEGO Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus has revealed how it comes together in a new video.

Hungarian designer Tamás Borján, who shares his LEGO projects as Tomasso Builds, has shared a new video in which he builds the playable 2,628-piece CDJ design. "I tried to make it stand from bigger elements to make the assembling more fun", he wrote in the caption. "This way despite the fact that the overall shape is pretty cubic, the building process is much more joyful."

Borján first revealed the design for the LEGO CDJ 2000 Nexus in July, boasting working features like a USB stick and port, CD drive, jog wheel, tempo fader and replaceable LED panels. Next came plans for a LEGO DJM 900 Nexus mixer, with volume faders and master knob, effects selector knob with four effects, crossfader and an LED panel, shared this past September.

Borján has submitted the project to the LEGO Ideas platform, which gives creators who gain 10,000 supporters the opportunity to get their product ideas reviewed for potential commercial use. If an Idea is selected, the original designer gets 1% of product royalties. Tomasso Builds' Ideas page has recently passed the 7,000-supporter mark, putting him less than 3,000 supporters away from official consideration.
