HYPERDUB DEBUT AT LONDON INDEPENDENT LABEL MARKET

Tons of independent labels show their wares at record fair

Kode9's seminal Hyperdub will make its Independent Label Market debut this summer, at London's Old Spitalfields Market.

Taking place on Saturday 12th July, the event aims to celebrate and support independent record labels — regardless of genre. Debuting alongside Hyperdub are Greco-Roman, eclectic operation Eglo and Nick Worthington's new label 37 Adventures.

Returning to represent everything electronic are such well-loved independents as Exit, Defected, Brownswood, Fabric, R&S, Houndstooth, Hospital Records and the mighty Ninja Tune, to name but a few.

The day also sees Beggars Group founder Martin Mills host a special 'Beggars Archive' stall, featuring classic cuts released across the four member labels: Rough Trade, 4AD, Matador and XL Recordings.

The Independent Label Market is an international event held in eight different locations across the globe, including London, LA, Paris and Berlin. Bringing together founders of the world's top independent labels to sell directly to fans in person, the market promotes poly-genre interaction and brings back the personal touch that makes indies so special.

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, Hyperdub continues to operate at the forefront of underground dance music. Established by musical mastermind Kode9, the label has seen releases from such urban heavyweights as Burial, DJ Earl, Mala, Terror Danjah, Zomby, Cooly G and the late great DJ Rashad.
