The masked man speaks
A Sagittariun has been involved in the electronic music scene for the best part of 25 years — running labels, representing artists, producing under other names. He won’t tell DJ Mag who he is, hiding behind a silly mask, but we don’t mind because his new EP, ‘Across the Celestial Sphere’, and forthcoming ‘Dream Ritual’ album are so sublime. “A Sagittariun is a very personal project, I’m making the music that comes most naturally to me, to be honest,” he tells DJ Mag, “and not really compromising or playing the industry game.”
Pedro Winter plays us his landmark Ed Banger cuts
It’s a very special version of Take 10 this issue. Usually we ask people to talk about the 10 tracks that have influenced them over the course of their lives, but seeing as pioneering French electro label Ed Banger is 10-years-old this month — and releasing a big comp to celebrate — we thought we’d get Ed Banger boss Pedro Winter, aka Busy P, to talk about 10 landmark Ed Banger releases.

Bass injected house duo step up
Some days you wake up and just have a blinder — for Dusky that blinder has been pretty much every day for the last year. It’s fair to say that the London duo have — in technical parlance — well-and-truly smashed it. Number #1 iTunes Dance Single of 2012? In the bag with the beyond-ubiquitous 'Flo Jam'. Radio 1 Essential Mix? Done, knocked off with style, and shortlisted for mix of the year. They’ve helped shift the paradigms for dubstep and house, had productions rinsed by everyone from Loefah to Calvin Harris, and killed it in Ibiza at DC-10. Ebullient and still humble, is it any surprise that Dusky producers Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman are loving life right now?
