Deadmau5 has begun teasing snippets of his debut film score. The producer expressing his gratitude for the experience with the Instagram caption: “First time mixing for film :) so much fun!”
As has been mentioned multiple times across the post’s comments, the mix does contain elements quite similar to that of 2014’s ‘Terrors in my head’.
While often quite responsive to his social followers, Deadmau5 has yet to reveal which film he is scoring.
Mau5trap is celebrating its first decade of EDM curation with the release of the aptly-titled compilation, ‘Ten Year Anniversary’. The compilation contains 33 tracks in total.
Featuring cuts from the likes of ATTLAS, Matt Lange, REZZ, Excision, Michael Woods, Foreign Beggars, Noisia, and Nom De Strip, the collection is a testament to Deadmau5’ eclectic ear when signing cuts to the imprint.
Deadmau5 unveiled Cube 2.2 this week to some minor confusion. At just 3’ tall, the desktop replica will be used exclusively for “show development purposes” at his high-tech mansion.
According to Deadmau5’s tweets (see below), the mini-cube was designed by the team at Saskatoon-based All Things LED. It has been designed as an exact replica of Cube 2.0 “with the exact same pixel count and panel configuration / mapping. just WAYYY higher pixel pitch.”
Deadmau5 shined the light squarely on his mau5trap roster with his recent BBC Radio 1 residency mix.
In addition to including tracks by upstart REZZ (‘Relax’), Transcode ('Magnetic Empathy'), Kellerkind ('Shakti Pan'), and big-room maestro ATTLAS, Deadmau5 brought frequent tour partner Feed Me into the broadcast with a special one-hour mix. The full track list can be found ahead of the stream.
Deadmau5 also used the 2-hour segment to promote new additions to his ‘lots of shows in a row tour’.
Deadmau5 recently opened up his Canadian home for an in-depth tour, and now the web is free to explore the producer’s trove of gear and technological gadgetry.
Deadmau5 has re-recorded his less-than-desired Testpilot set from Movement Detroit. The mix is part of his BBC Radio 1 Residency.
Deadmau5’s highly-anticipated new live show ‘Cube 2.1’ is finally available to watch in glorious 1080p HD thanks to one determined YouTuber, SF Show Pro.
Deadmau5's love-affair with Jay-Z and Tidal must have come to an end as the Canadian producer has just uploaded a 46-hour long Spotify playlist.
The playlist, in general, is a little more techno-leaning than you might expect and sees the Canadian producer spotlighting a lot of his Mau5trap signings, including REZZ, ATTLAS, Monstergetdown, Matt Lange, BlackGummy and No Mana.
Clocking in at 496 tracks, the playlist should give you a decent snapshot of what Deadmau5 is enjoying at the moment when it comes to electronic music.
Deadmau5 has always had the taste for fast cars and after selling his P1 to fund his new live show, the Canadian DJ and producer has just taken delivery of his latest ride: a British-made BAC Mono.
Obstensibly a track-day car, the BAC Mono has the power to rearrange your face thanks to its incredible power-to-weight ratio, which can be seen below when Jeremy Clarkson tested the track-day car a few years ago on old Top Gear.
Deadmau5 has filed a countersuit against Emma Bassiri (owner) and Scott Hutchinson (manager) of meowingtons.com. He and his counsel argue the website and trademark are confusing his fans and damaging the goodwill of himself and his pet feline.
Deadmau5 first took exception with Bassiri in early 2017, when he filed a petition with the United States Patent and Trademark office challenging her trademark. Bassiri responded with a suit of her own.
