Coming from completely different walks of life prolific Berlin-based tech-house pioneer Marc Romboy has teamed with Japanese techno producer and game scorer Ken Ishii to develop the exciting debut collaboration album, 'Taiyo'.

As one of the final dates in the festival calendar, the latest addition to Croatia’s coastal party scene has promised a fine coda to the summer since its mouth-watering lineup dropped at the start of the year. Held in the same spot as older sibling Outlook, which celebrated its fifth year the week before Dimensions opened its doors, it’s been billed as a more highbrow offshoot – in place of Fat Freddy’s Drop on the lineup stands Nicolas Jaar, Skream gives way to Carl Craig and there was nary a New Era cap in sight.

The speed with which Leeds techno wunderkind Happa has risen to hype levels is almost frightening. Appearing as if from nowhere in 2012 with a debut 12 for Church — a label launched by the forward-thinking south London club of the same name — he's caught the ear of the bass and techno cognoscenti alike with a sound hewn from onyx synths, sepulchral, industrial clanking drums and a roughneck garage swing that keeps the dance bubbling.

As one half of Basic Channel, Mark Ernestus has one of the most influential back catalogues in electronic music. And just as Basic Channel releases were as eagerly anticipated as Santa dropping down the chimney with a sack of white labels for the techno cognoscenti during the 1990s, so Ernestus’ rare DJ appearances are almost as mythical an event. Or to put it another way, if you were to book him, you probably wouldn’t stick him in a back bar at the end of the night.
