Burial and The Bug to release collaborative EP, ‘Flame 1’

The UK dub experimentalists' two-track release lands at the end of March on new label, Pressure...

Burial and The Bug are set to release a collaborative 12" EP at the end of the month.

‘Flame 1’ is comprised of two tracks, ‘Fog’ and ‘Shrine’ and will be released via a new label, Pressure. This is the first time the two Hyperdub affiliates have collaborated and will be each of their first releases of 2018.

Burial had four releases last year, from the stark sound-design of his ‘Subtemple’ EP on Hyperdub to a remix of Goldie’s ‘Inner City Life’, ‘Rodent’ in September and then ‘Pre Dawn’/’Indoors’ via Boddika’s NonPlus label in October.

The Bug AKA Kevin Martin, meanwhile, released his bone shattering experimental doom electronics album ‘Concrete Desert’ with Dylan Carlson of Earth.

‘Flame 1’ appeared on several online record stores toward the end of last week and will be available at the end of March.
