Orbital announce first new album in six years, share single: Listen

The legendary duo’s new LP is out in September...

Orbital have shared the details of their forthcoming ninth album, ‘Monsters Exist’.

Set for release in September, it will be duo’s first LP in six years. This announcement comes after the pair returned last year with singles ‘Copenhagen’ and ‘Kinetic 2017’. Now, the Brighton live act have shared the lead single from the album, 'Tiny Foldable Cities’. You can hear it below.

"When you haven't made an album in five years it just comes tumbling out," said the duo’s Paul Hartnoll. "You don't need to spell out who the monsters are. We're not pointing our fingers at Donald Trump or Kim Jong-un. It's clear who the monsters are. I've never liked preaching to people."

Orbital will also be touring extensively this year, with dates lined up across the UK, Ireland and Europe culminating with a massive headline show in London’s Eventim Hammersmith Apollo on 15th December.

Last year, they delivered a wonderful exclusive mix for DJ Mag as part ahead of their performance at Beyond The Tracks. Watch Orbital revisit and discuss the history their classic track ‘Chime’ with DJ Mag here. Tickets for the show in Hammersmith will go on sale this Friday 9th February and can be purchased here.
