Ethereal Skies will release their debut label compilation, ‘Aerga VA 01’, later this week. Listen exclusively to Dylan Fogarty’s ‘Serenity’ below.

Having hosted their first queer party at Dublin’s The Racket Space last November, Mark Davis (AKA darkmavis) and Sean Murray are expanding their inclusive Ethereal Skies brand into a label. Landing this Friday (17th November), the inaugural release, 'Aerga' – meaning ‘the air or the ether’ in Gaeilge – will feature 21 eclectic producers from Ireland and beyond.

Much like the party series, the compilation champions a spectrum of alternative club sounds, from ambient dreamscapes and spacious avant-trance, to breakcore, gabber, hard groove and more. Meath-native Gaffa and Cork-born, Glasgow-based Ollie McMorrow (AKA Doubt) serve up hyperactive drum hybrids on ‘Phantom’ and ‘CP144’ respectively, while Edinburgh-via-Dublin producer Sweet Philly embraces the euphoric and ethereal with the breaks-infused ‘False Eyes’.

Elsewhere on the project, Rory Sweeney emerges from the Irish underground with the bleepy and arpeggiated, ‘Circuit Forrest’, and Dylan Fogarty follows releases for RAW and Concrete Berlin with a stylish slab of loop-driven techno (aptly titled ‘Serenity’). The Dublin-born, Edinburgh-based artist has established himself as something of a prodigy when it comes to blending ’90’s and ’00s club sounds with a contemporary sizzle, and will release his debut wax project with DJ Cosworth’s Hardline Sounds later this year.

Other featured artists on ‘Aerga VA 01’ include Ethereal Skies co-founders, darkmavis and Sean Murray, Jack Ward, Small Bear, Casement, Nienna, Harmful Logic, and plenty of others.

‘Aerga VA 01’ is out 17th November. Pre-order the compilation here, and listen exclusively to Dylan Fogarty’s ‘Serenity’ below.
