Actress announces new album, ‘LXXXVIII’, on Ninja Tune
New single 'Game Over' reflects the artist's preoccupation with game theory - particularly chess - while making his ninth album
Actress has shared details of a new album, titled 'LXXXVIII'.
Set for release on 3rd November via his long-time label Ninja Tune, the ninth album by the English electronic musician, real name Darren Cunningham, features recent single 'Push Power ( a 1 )' and its newest cut, 'Game Over ( e 1 )'.
The new single's title continues to reflect Cunningham's preoccupation with game theory - and chess in particular - while making the record. Listen to it below.
The release of 'Game Over ( e 1 )' comes off the back of Cunningham challenging people to play a bullet round of chess against him online, which then led opponents to a site that hosted a trailer of ‘LXXXVIII’. Pre-order it here.
Following last year's 'Dummy Corporation' EP, the release of Actress's latest album arrives off the back of a recent live performance at Field Day in London. He was also just announced as the official support for James Blake's upcoming UK/EU tour, including Alexandra Palace in London on 28th September.
