Beastie Boys unveil vegan trainer collaboration with Adidas

Celebrating 30 years of the ‘Paul’s Boutique’ album

The Beastie Boys have launched a vegan trainer in collaboration with Adidas.

The shoes, which mark the 30th anniversary of Beastie Boys' 'Pauls Boutique' album, were unveiled by Adidas Skateboarding at Beyond The Streets, a graffiti exhibition in New York.

The trainer, usually made from leather, uses off-white canvas as the vegan alternative, with grey detailing and The Beastie Boys' logo on the tongue and heel.

Currently only available at selected skate shops in North America, the shoes are priced at $85 with proceeds going to underprivileged families organisation Peace Sisters and teaching foundation Little Kids Rock.

In June, The Beastie Boys released a digitally expanded version of 'To The 5 Boroughs'.

Earlier this month, 'Sabotage' was released in a 3-inch vinyl format, to mark 25 years since the release of 'Ill Communications'.
