Berghain announces Christmas day and 18th birthday event line-ups

Serious festivities from the Berlin institute

Berghain 18th birthday Christmas Day

Berghain has confirmed the artists playing two of its most significant parties this year, with celebrations coming up for both the venue's birthday and Christmas Day.

Marking 18 years at the iconic and world-famous Kreuzberg address, on Saturday 10th December a live performance from Terence Fixmer, and DJ sets by Francois X, Steffi, Surgeon, Ben Klock, Boris, and Josey Rebelle will fill Berghain itself. Meanwhile, Panorama Bar's schedule boasts Miss Kittin & The Hacker live, Âme, Fred P, Lakuti, nd_baumecker, Tama Sumo, Virginia, and AGY3NA. Luke Slater as The 7th Plain, Alekzandra, Claudio PRC, NikNak, Key Clef, LABOUR and DJ Gigola all play Säule, the latter three appearing live.

Then, at the end of next month, Panorama Bar's Finest Fridays will open for a special session on Friday 25th December. Bringing in the Finest X-Mas festivities will be David Elimelech, Marie Montexier, Partok, and Roi Perez. The venue will reopen again on Friday 30th December and run through to Monday 2nd January 2023, but no lineup has been confirmed at the time of writing.

In October, the club's Ostgut DJ booking agency announced it would cease operations at the end of this year, with eight redundancies. The news followed label Ostgut Ton's closure in December 2021.
