Berlin club Griessmuehle is at risk of closure

A cryptic post was shared by the venue ahead of its New Year's Eve party

Griessmuehle, one of Berlin's best-loved clubs has shared a cryptic post suggesting that it could soon be forced to close.

In an Instagram post, the club launched a new campaign dubbed Save Our Spaces just ahead of New Year's Eve.

Information on the potential closure is currently scarce with the team simply writing: "Friends, we must act now. It might be our last New Year's Eve." The post requests that patrons and supporters help the club by spreading the word about the campaign.

On the club's website, a further message reads: "We are in danger. It's time to respect the clubs as they are, to acknowledge our cultural contribution and to give us a permanent place to exist." More information will follow soon according to the message on Griessmuehle's website.

Griessmuehle hosts a number of Berlin's key parties including Mother's Finest, Cocktail d'Amore and, until recently, REEF.

The team behind the club opened up a record shop called Latitude close to the venue early last year.
