Björk shares title track from new album, 'Fossora': Listen

Björk has released the title track from her forthcoming album, 'Fossora'.

The new song, which you can listen to below, was produced by the Icelandic artist and features contributions from Gabber Modus Operandi's Kasimyn, who also featured on 'Fossora''s lead track, 'Atopos'.

'Fossora' is the fourth song to be unveiled from Björk's new album, after 'Atopos', 'Ovule' and 'Ancestress'. The album will be released through her longtime label home of One Little Independent this Friday, 30th September.

The artwork and release date for the new album were revealed at the start of this month. At the time of the record's announcement, Björk said its title is a "word I made up. It is the feminine of fossore (digger, delver, ditcher). So in short it means 'she who digs' (into the ground)."

In addition to 'Fossora', Björk also has a new podcast series, 'Björk: Sonic Symbolism', which explores her discography, and the meanings and thoughts behind the individual LPs. The first three episodes – respectively looking at 'Debut', 'Post', and 'Homogenic' – were made available earlier this month. You can find them here.
