Loraine James releases new album, 'Gentle Confrontation', on Hyperdub
The artist returns to Hyperdub to follow-up 2021's 'Reflection'
Loraine James has released her fourth studio album, 'Gentle Confrontation'. Listen to it below.
Out now on Hyperdub, it follows on from 2021's 'Reflection', also released by the label, and last year's Phantom Limb-released 'Building Something Beautiful For Me', which saw James rework the material of the late composer Julius Eastman.
Originally announced in May of this year, 'Gentle Confrontation' features 16 tracks and is inspired by teen James' emo-electronic music favourites, such as DNTEL, Lusine and Telefon Tel Aviv. It also explores family relationships and self-compassion.
Eden Samara, Marina Herlop, George Riley and keiyaA are among the guest artists who appear across the record, which you can listen to in full below.
